US: Breaking Bad Season 5 Part II - The finale.

Walt was the reason Hank was there. Walt DID watch Jane die and could have saved her but chose not too. Walt DID poison Brock. Walt talked Jesse, a ****ed up drug addict, into shooting Gale and at the end of the day it was Walt trying to save himself as he was the one about to be shot by Mike. All these things were for selfish reasons and he actually screwed over Jesse despite what Walt claims. Walt has used Jesse from the start and as the seasons went on the ways he manipulated him got worse. Walt may well claim he was looking out for Jesse's best interests but if that's how he does it then what a nice chap. So no, I'm not going to be a sheep and think like you lot, Walt is getting what he deserves and I'm going to enjoy watching it.

Bryan Cranston has given us a character who will be long remembered

Lol why are we sheep? What a ridiculous thing to say. You do realise this is TV right? It's meant to create these sort of conflicting opinions and people siding with characters. Just because we do, doesn't make us sheep

Jesus...some people :D

It's good that you have your own feelings, though it's pretty ridiculous to call us 'sheep' for being 'on his side' still. The show is called Breaking Bad. It's about how low he will go for his family (and for his legacy). He's gone very far, and is by no means the moral center. But we're still encouraged to stick with him, as we understand why he does what he does, and the things he goes through for them.

Also Hank was there because of Jesse.

OK, OK I admit sheep was the wrong term to use.

Hank was there because of the chain of events set in motion by Walt is S01E01 and Jesse was just the means to aid that along.

Don't get me wrong I don't like a lot of what Jesse has done, he is at this point for mostly his own actions, free will and all that, BUT Walt has manipulated Jesse hugely over the series and it's always been for Walts own ends despite what he claims.

Also, try reading the IMDB Breaking Bad message board where some people can't seem to grasp what Walt was doing with that phone call. Too subtle for some American's I think

I just have a knack for wanting the bad guy to get away with it in all films/tv series :p

See I'm the total opposite. Normally I'd hate a character like Walts, but in this, I love the guy. I think it's because, no matter how you look at it, he's always had the best intentions at heart, but he's just got deeper and deeper into this and he's just in over his head. Yeah he's quite evil too now with what he's willing to do to protect his money/empire, but he's still a very likable guy I think, and he clearly has good intentions there, with his family etc.

A lot of it is down to Cranston though and how well he's done with this character

That phone call was just genius, as much as I want to hate him (for bringing it all on himself) I just can't!

2 more episodes left :(

Yeah I can't explain it I just don't like seeing the good guys win as it's usually boring that way. If this show had ended with Hank taking Walt down it would have plummeted in my list of top series ever.

Did anyone else get quite choked up at the scene where Holly was saying "Mumma", Walt looked so crushed, and the realisation hit him that he'll never see his family again, never get to see his daughter grow up and his old life is well and truly gone

Was so well done

Yeah massively :(

Brilliant episode. How many left? I hope they dont drag it out forthe sake of it.
Everyone needs to die in a standout with no victory for anyone, would be a good ending as usually the good guys win in films/shows. Or walt and jesse need to escape and become drug lords, in which case evil pervails and again that doesntusually happen.

So many feels from last nights episode!!
I have never watched a show like it, I'm literally on the edge of my seat in complete 100% focus on what's happening!! The dramatics are just something else.
That phone call was pretty genius by Walt and glad that Sky clicked on.
Wonder how he will get Sky the money? Wonder what his motive is now for the last episode?
Bet the Nazi group go after his family, Saul will still be involved some how! Too much for me!! !:D
Why are we using spoilers? :D

Why are we using spoilers? :D
no idea just makes the thread annoying having to click them all.

so you have not saw the episode.
you come into the thread knowing every post is going to have spoilers because an episode just aired
you know you can not click on them and there is nothing else to read.
you leave the thread.

seems pointless

HANKS DEAD

There, no need to use spoilers now. It is really annoying as you shouldn't be coming in this thread unless you've watched it
