It's still slightly odd. The Brexit Party is a protest party. Their purpose is essentially to pressure the Tory party into a policy position. Even Farage doesn't honestly think that they will ever have any serious power in their own right.

A protest at an EU election is arguably much less effective than threatening the Tory power base at Westminster.

The Brexit Party strategy is ultimately doomed imo. They split the right wing vote, and if the Tory Party shift position to nullify the threat of the Brexit Party they will lose votes elsewhere.

As I've said repeatedly, there is no evidence that a plurality of voters in almost any constituency are actually willing to elect Farage or one of his fascist friends.

There is however plenty of evidence to suggest that the majority actively do not want this to happen, and will almost always vote accordingly.

Just ask a Brexit voter to list all the ways their lives are going to get better when we leave the European Union not one of them will give you a proper answer.

Sort of funny how you're saying winning has nothing to do with it and 683 votes is scraping home when leave supporters won the EU referendum by 3.78% compared to Labour winning this byelection by 2.02%, at what point between those two percentages does it go from scraping home a win to a thumping majority and a mandate from the people?

I do wonder sometimes if you check what you're about to say for logical consistency or if you just don't realise that you're contradicting yourself.
That's how this whole referendum came about in the first place, it was meant to silence the Eurosceptics within the Conservative party, boy did that get out of hand.

You should be very concerned with Labour and conservatives at a very low point, a concerted media campaign against Labour and in a very strong leave area this is the best the Brexit party can do. It’s like the Labour Party losing one of their strongest seats.

    I always get,
    something, something jobs.
    something, something immigrants.
    something, something Muslims.

So I asking them again, how is leaving the EU going to make YOUR life better? Then I get tumbleweed.......

You are missing the point those voting Brexit are jealous of others they don't expect THEIR life to be better but will be happy if SOMEONE else suffers.

Just been listening to Any Answers on Radio4 and a lady called in to say that she voted Remain but now realises that Leave we’re right because the negotiations have shown there’s too much bureaucracy in the EU.

The presenter asked her which party would best deliver her vision for the ‘future of the UK’ and she said the Greens…

The presenter told her that the Greens were a strongly Remain party and she said “Are they? Well they’re stupid”.

This is the state of the UK electorate.

I am always suspicious of people coming on the TV/radio claiming they initially voted Remain as the reasons for their changing are all the usual excuses. As time has gone by and people have seen the lies of the Leavers and the dodgy company they kept polls consistently show more people changing to Remain.

Don't forget, everybody, it was made perfectly clear you might lose your job...

... And then immediately, they duped loads of us that it was "Project Fear" and it could be dismissed without any more of that tricky thinking stuff.

    Look at Leadsom now.

Now they're doubling-down on the con, and telling you that you did vote to lose your job after all!

Farage-levels of voter betrayal and gaslighting going on.

Apparntly the Peterborough vote was rigged and needs a recount for having `a large amount of postal votes`.

Theres a petition for this ^^
