Can someone help the power led just flashes red and green. Just bought this router

See if the Netgear recovery utility will work, not sure if it will for that model. Note if you're running Vista (don't know about 7) it definitely won't.

Does the CD that came with it have some sort of utility?
Have you tried doing a normal reset pushing in the thing btw?

No CD, tried hard resetting.

Apparently it has some sort of automatic firmware recovery - http://www.imagebam.com/image/f22ff453630175 . Are you able to connect to it in your browser?

Ah nice find but I can't get into the router. Pinging the router failes too. It's not even giving out a wireless signal.

Yay I fixed it. Not sure how but I fiddled tyring to hard reset it here http://vpncasestudy.com/reset.html
Then I pinged the router using cmd.exe and typed ping 192.168.0.1 Then I noticed the limited connectivity came back in taskbar so I logged in and netgear for sure realized faulty firmware so I uploaded by file.
