Three dry but not particularly sunny days are expected for the British Grand Prix weekend.

Britain is enjoying warm weather at the moment and it is expected to remain that way throughout Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Northamptonshire.

Overcast conditions are likely to produce temperatures in the mid-to-low 20s. Little to no chance of rain is forecast.

However the teams will have to watch out for gusts of wind which can make driving conditions challenging at the fast and exposed Silverstone track.

The gusts of over 30mph expected on Friday and Saturday are not too strong but can be enough to disrupt a car in Silverstone’s many fast corners and force teams to adjust their downforce levels if they’re facing a headwind or tailwind on one of the straights.

since bbc took over, search for the last race threads for this year and last, not sure if the links will still work, they might.

I would like to make a slight correction to the practice timings. Practice 3 must finish no less than 2 hours before qualifying starts which means that it starts at 0955 and not 1055 as is stated above. It is not your mistake though because the BBC have it scheduled as starting at 1055 as well but trust me, it is 0955.

You have to remember Sunama knows exactly what happened, even though such action is illegal under F1 rules and that they would not say such things, so all his opinions are assumptions at best, but he states it as fact.

Are Ferrari now beginning to understand the behaviour of their revised car? 2 cars in the top4 - when was the last time this happened?

You can't tell, everyone was doing long runs for the majority of the session. Will have to wait and see what happens in qualifying, maybe have a better idea in p3.

Still no news on the Senna issue, has there even been an official press conference from HRT yet about it?

The team said that an explanation would be given on Friday morning but the statement did not arrive until mid-afternoon. HRT explained that it simply wanted to give Yamamoto an 'opportunity' to dive at the British Grand Prix.

The statement read: "In respect to the rumours about Bruno Senna's current status with Hispania Racing, HRT F1 Team, the team wants to confirm that Bruno Senna has all the support of the Spanish team, that he remains one of the Hispania Racing, HRT F1 Team official drivers and that he will be continuing to drive in the remaining races of the 2010 Formula 1 world championship."

we are still use to testing, when parts could be fitted and working correctly.

Bring back testing. At least have testing say on Thursday or monday after every other race or something. cars/personnel are already there and they can sell tickets to make a bit of cash.

All it achieves is stunting development and gives those with the performance advantage a better shot at the title.

Why do they make such a stiff car, it seems to go against them at more tracks than it works. The close side shots of ham, looked terrible.
