Anyone else going? Should be a fantastic gig. The Living End are awesome, dont miss them! I've never seen the Dropkick's live so that should be fun, and LTJ are well.. LTJ! :D

Well i'm back. The Living End were (as expected) the best of the bill :D LTJ were obviously great fun, and we pretty much missed the first band so i couldnt say. It was a shame about the Dropkick Murphy's... i'd never seen them before and didnt know a whole lot of their stuff, but they were very dissapointing live. All noise really -- i'd heard so much good about them too :(

I've only heard a handful of LTJ songs but those that I've heard I really like. I might have to check out some of their albums, which would you recommend???

Valve

Tis quite a funny question considering the sheer amount of albums LTJ have released :D

I guess The Pez Collection would be a good start, considering it's a kind of 'best-of'. I've personally got Losing Streak, Hello Rockview and Borders and Boundaries. Out of those i'd get the first two, as they still play stuff from them regularly. Then i guess you could check out the latest albums, of which i know absolutely nothing about, but the stuff sounded pretty good live :p

I'm not really an authority on LTJ by the way. I like them, but i dont adore them!

Saw them last night.

The Living End stole the show, standing on his bass while playing :D

I felt quite let down with the DKM's, they were just a wall of noise, although 'Spicey McHaggis Jig' was certainly entertaining :)

Yeah i've seen the Living End a few times and he always does that. Pretty impressive :D And how damn good is the guitarist? You might not hear it as well live, but get some tracks and sometimes its just like  Cool!

"Wall of noise" is exactly how i, my two friends, and my sister described the DKMs. Doh. :\
