I ordered one on Friday when it was available for a cheap price of £49. Set it up on my wifi on saturday lunch time, no problems at all so far, holding onto my network with no issues at all. I don't run Ubuntu so I cannot comment on linux support, but it looks great bang for buck and the replacements toners are cheap.

Problem with some of these (user feedback sites) like Amazon is the comments are from completely different models all mixed into one , i didn't think a well known brand like Brother would have problems with Wifi , thanks for confirming it works ok.
