I'm on the BY 1MB internet package (or at least I was), but I'm currently downloading stuff at 500kB/s :eek:


Has there been an upgrade that I didn't know about?
 
BY revently gave upgrades to all their customers IIRC (before xmas). Lower packages went to 4mb and higher packages went to 10mb IIRC. Eitehr they have only just got round to doing your line now or theirs something i dont know about.

Best one i had was when my dial up somehow went to about 20kbs, how it doe it ill never know, an hour later it had stopped. was bliss as it was peak time when P2P programs were all the rage.

Heh, nice.

Sounds like around 4mb :eek: (1mb - 120kb/s x4)

Maybe cap has been lifted by accident? Once I was downloading at 80/90kb/s for about 15mins on our 576k connection, then it went back to normal and then back up again for a while.

well, I'm sure they said something about 9 months ago. Scotland and London got upgraded, but left 'us' alone :( They said they would let us know when they completed work in Birmingham, but I haven't received anything.
 
people in brum have been waiting for ages for the upgrade, hope its has finally been done! will speedtest mine when i get home :)
