Over the last Month or 2 i've been plagued with my Pc restarting after the tv has been off for a while. Finally i turned it on today and the tv turned on before the pc restarted, I saw BSOD then it restarted? this has never happened before 2months ago what could it be?

2Ghz x2 AMD
2GB Dual Ballistix Tracer's (DDR)
Sapphire RD580ADV (the top 939) Motherboard
X1900XT 512Mb HIS Graphics
1x WD 1TB
1x WD 500GB
Enermax Liberty 620W PSU

Connected to my Series 4 Samsung 40inch 720p TV

It has been perfectly fine up to now think my ram is giving up???
everything seems stable when the pc's on my temps are 33c and 40c when playing games and running COD 4,5, Grid, Crysis and BF2 all work fine.

Guess this one's a little tricky, I know im completely baffled. Only thing i can think of is that the sudden need to display onto my 40inch makes it keel over, but i cant see any reason for this. I would imagine most of the work is delt by the graphics??? and doesn't really explain why i get a memory dump.

Could be a driver issue. Try rolling back to an older GFX driver version

Any chance you got down the BSOD details?

Nope pc restarts before the screen turns on, i only managed to see it for a split second then it restarted. most of the time i dont see anything. Lcd tv takes a while to turn on like 8 seconds, by then its too late.

Ok well i figured im getting a few Explorer crashe's and i left it on last night and it restarted which was annoying so im gonna have ago with xp pro 64bit edition instead of my 32bit. see how i get along with that :)

Na its ok I reinstalled with xp pro 64bit and its better than ever all my HD audio and 720p Graphics drivers worked a treat in the first microsoft update. 32bit never did that :). Will have to see if it's still stable tho give it a run over the next week or so and see if my problems have been solved

thanks for ya help

ok well slight technical difficulty no.1. Installed sp2 and it BSOD after restart and i had to restore back to sp1, which took like a million years. After i opened a can of beer im gonna install .net2 x64 and give the graphics driver's a wirl, before i do that update again. nothing ever is perfect :( i hope the latest ATI drivers cure it.

Yay,

Installed .net2 and my 64bit ATI Graphics driver's and it worked without BSOD :D Hope it doesn't do that again.
