I agree with everything you have written above, but how is the OP getting 200Mbps from the Vigor 130. He must have the Vigor connected to the Smart Hub via WAN port.
He doesn't - he only gets that with the BT Modem.

The Vigor 130 is never going to work as it doesn't support G.Fast.

Hi, I'm currently in the process of replicating your setup I have the modem in place of the SH2 but do not currently have a internet led lit but do have a DSl led lit , is that also what you have lit on your modem or do you have all 4 LEDs lit ?

Thanks

G.FAST is FTTC.

FTTC is not the transmission technology but rather the last mile network topology. G.FAST is still copper from the last node and so FTTC. The correct way to differentiate is between VDSL and G.FAST and these are the transmission technologies.

'Up to' 100Mbps is VDSL. 'Up to' 1Gbps is G.FAST.

Openreach have stepped back from installing dslam on the poles (or similar) now so in a lot of cases G.FAST is having to travel just as far as VDSL (the cabinet) with no hope of getting 1Gbps.
