BT Home Hub and HomePNA

I have recently upgraded someone's BT 1200 router to the new Home Hub. All is well apart from one thing. The old router used to come from his ADSL line and he had a machine upstairs that would use an RJ11 straight into the ADSL line and use HomePNA technology so there was no need for extra cabling. This second machine then connected in a dial-up fashion, similar to users of the infamous green frog. Since the upgrade this has not been possible and after looking around the web and finding nothing on the subject I was wondering, does the new home hub even support HomePNA?

Cheers

sounds interesting, what was the config of the network. Surely there must have been a bridge / media converter somewhere to go into the ethernet of the BT1200

The setup from upstairs was a RJ11 cable from a wall socket in the same room going into a RJ11 connector which had a USB connection at the end of that for the laptop. They can go wireless so its not the end of the world I guess. Thanks for your help.
