BT Phone Line

hey all,
fingers crossed i should be moving into a new flat on the 16th - but there is no phone line in there at the moment.

so i'll obviously be getting one put in for the t'internet, and pay the hefty sum of £124

i've looked into BT's site but it seems you have to join a BT Together package as well as putting in the damn line, and you're then stuck in it for 12 months.

i'd rather just have BT install the line and go with the same company my parents go with as its a bit cheaper than BT's packages (can't remember the name off the top of my head sorry).

i'm just wondering if this is possible?

Your best bet is to just ring up and ask if you can pay for a line to be installed without having a phone package.

IIRC, and I may be totally wrong, the £124 (its that much now?) is a special discounted price for new BT customers. I'd read that as use their service to get that price.

Just a shot in the dark, can you get cable at your new flat ?

Might be cheaper.
