The first meet @ Brands covered by ITV4 was absolutely Superb :cool:
Todays coverage starts @ 12.30 & like last time runs live throughout all 3 races, How kin cool is that. About the best motor sport spectacle available these days & we get it on terrestrial live in our front rooms for nowt.
Will anybody else be settling down for an afternoons Saloon car racing ?
Looking forward to seeing how Platos' Derv Seat does on a faster circuit & seeing whether the Vauxhall/Giavanardi (sp?) holds the lead/speed.
Either way i Love Touring cars :cool:

About time too! I'm surprised (and pleased) they are putting it on for a whole 5 hours, but the viewing figures must stack up.

Going to try, but I'm recording it anyway just in case. The Brands race was quite literally edge of the seat stuff, I reckon it's going to be a great season.

Brilliant first round! Never been a big follower of BTCC but damn I will be from now on :)

Was the most exciting race I've seen in a long time.
 
Certainly a lot better than recent seasons I've watched. I just wish they would get rid of some of the mickey mouse rules like pulling your grid position out of a hat.

EDIT: lol when he pulled that ball out he didn't shake them around at all after being able to easily see what numbers were where.

Damn hoped I had only missed the first one. The other races are pretty good too. I bet they enjoy the coverage now.
 
what a day of racing, and especially the 3rd btcc race!! thats what its all about!

Congrats to itv4 for the stunning coverage they are providing! even better today as no steve rider!
 
Great afternoons race/coverage, Loving the Clios. Will be even better on the other tracks as well :)

Indeed, a fantastic race, and very happy ehy extended the race back to the full 18 laps, it all happened right at the end !

I really miss toca tourings cars, wish it was still being churned out my codemasters, Loved that game, especially smashing up the yellow/blue lagunas in my bonkers primera :D
 
Great racing. The BMWs did well considering the weather, I thought they would have been troubled a lot more.
 
Yeah great last race that was but i did feel sorry for poor old turkington that safety car really killed his race but the rest was awesome entertainment.
@ pooseman yeah was much better without steve rider :)
 
Yep, i think he was the first privateer to win a BTCC race, Basically last years Primera was better than the new one & he could drive.
What was noticable to me was the Derv Seats speed, on faster tracks that'll make a hell of a difference if they can look after the front tyres. All set for a cracking season of BTCC, As Usual the Best motor racing on telly.
9 races in all on Sunday All live, Awesome. I have to confess to getting straight on RFactor & blasting the PCC mod around for a few laps. It's great watching the races then going online & having a few races, It keeps me young :D
