Budget card OK for 2.1 setup?

Looking for judgement. I'm upgrading to non-board audio for the first time and wanted to know if the budget card http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SC-012-AS was a good option for 2.1 setup?
I don't need anything too fancy, but want to make sure it wont be a bust unless using headphones/5.1

that card will be fine for 2.1.

it will be a vast improvement over on-board sound.

Thanks for the reply. Sound cards is an area I am woefully lacking in knowledge (I plan on improving before my next full build) and it's great to have helpful people in the forums!

The DG is aimed at stereo headphone users but is perfectly suitable for both 5.1 headphones and speakers, and as schizo said it's a big step up from onboard sound.
