Budget flashgun

Aimed at different uses, albeit only slight differences. YN460s have more power, and are cheaper than the 465, and because you'll only use one flash on-camera, you don't need the TTL feature on the other 2 flashguns.

Im actually planning on not using any flash on camera!

ttl = through the lens flash metering.

a very breif preflash (to quick to detect often) is sent out, relfected light is assessed, the flash is adjust for correct exposure.

a clever auto flash basically.

Has it's faults as there is an element of unpredictability with the exposure and each shot can lack consistent exposure even when TTL is working well, which can greatly increase pp time needed if your taking a series of pictures in the same spot.
Basically it's mainly good for run and gun situations or when the flash to subject distance is so close the subject only has to shift their weight and they create a 0.3 stop or more difference in exposure.

Could someone explain what E-TTL and i-TTL are?

I’m sure someone will be along soon to correct me. I think they are just terminology used by Canon and Nikon. Evaluative-Through The Lens (E-TTL) and Intelligent TTL(iTTL)!
