Hi all,

Putting together a little server/media machine based around a G4560, B250M board, 8GB DDR and no graphics card. I'll probably have at most 5 drives.

What wattage of PSU should I be looking at? Any recommendations for a cheap silent/quiet one? Doesn't need to be modular, but if it's the case of £5 more then I might be swayed :)

G4560 - 60watt
Board - 20watt
DDR4 - 5watt
5 drivers - are we talking 3.5" spinning rust or ssd?
Assuming spinning rust: WD 3TB Green Drive = Read/Write 6 Watts per drive

so 5 x 6watts = 30 watts

Leaves us at 60+20+5+30
115watts peak
Add 50% headroom = 175watts

What sorta of space do you have for a PSU? If going ultra small you can get away with PicoPSU's, but in a normal case that leaves you with an unused space for an atx/sfx psu..

Woops, sorry. Should have said it's an mATX board, but I'll probably be going for cases with room for an ATX PSU at 180 mm.
