Is there much difference between what appears to be the V1 TX650W and the V2?

The former appears to be modular, which would appeal (current Corsair PSU is modular, though only a 550W)

TX650M is semi modular. It's the old version of the TX series (CWT - ChannelWell) turned modular.

TX650 V2, is a new Seasonic design.

Either, good PSUs.

That samsung RAM is good and overclocks well but anything faster than 1600mhz on the 1155 socket doesnt make much odds really.

If you want to SLI the 670 GPU ideally you want 700W minimum. We also like GB mobos for their 3 year UK based warranty

+1 to this. Don't worry about the XFX PSU OP, it's also manufactured by Seasonic, so it's a great high end PSU to have.

Carbide 500R, the thing I'd change. IMO better case. Not bad looking in white too.
