Hi everyone.

New to the building scene.

I was hoping one of the very friendly community on here could spec me up this highest performing rig possible Inc a 1080 TI (no peripherals or monitor) for no more than 2K

Only requirement for the case (other than it look nice) is that it have a glass side/see through ^^

Really appreciate you guys help!

No mate! I'm gaming off a Auros X7 pro and want to get over to pc, not too stressed about holding off till the new GPU's unless they are gonna come out in the next week or two

as meantioned above, if you can't hold off ( 3 months~) then buy pretty sharpish, GPU prices are on the rise, RAM prices are a joke atm. Personally i would wait as you'll be paying close to a grand for GPU and RAM only.

Oh Canada!
Ryzen + CPUs and new NVidia cards coming "soon" (whatever that means... no solid dates AFAIK) so I'm not sure I'd build right now if you don't need the PC for critical work of some sort right away. The performance per watt of Nvidia's new Volta chips is significantly more impressive than Pascal which means we could see the kind of 'omg' leap from a 1080 to an 1180 that we saw from the 980 to the 1080. I'd wait.

Another benefit of waiting is that RAM prices (which are obscenely high ATM) might cool off somewhat in the meantime.

why 2 optical drives?

change the psu to a superflower/G3/Axi - would be worth it in the long run (upgrades)

you could save money by going to a 1700 or 1700x - literally the same CPU.

If you liked Gigabyte Aorus Brand with your laptop , the PC based one them .
UK support and RMA (unlike Asus board) and best on board audio

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £2,014.87 (includes shipping: £0.00)

Windows can be hand for £20-30 if you Google it , or others state how

Ryzen - personally if your splashing down a lot of cash, Gigabyte has already shown off its x470 Aorus 7, gamersnexus has done a video break down of it ... Beastly

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £2,037.21 (includes shipping: £15.30)

You guys are mint!

I'm torn between Intel and AMD.

hard now isnt it. we've all complained about lack of competition and technological advancements , pricing and then ryzen rocks up knocking intel for Six and they reacted fast , maybe a little to fast - keen eyed people will spot this with H370 chipset soon enough

but yeah, left in a rock and hard place . Ryzen+ should be a nice bump up but we all know Ryzen 2 2019 is the chip most people will drop 1st gen ryzen for or hold onto their older intel gen2/3 chips.
might see some info floating about Z390 as well, H370 will give you an indication about the chipset difference over Z370 ... but then with waiting for hardware to come, as soon as its about to be released, you hear more information on the next big thing which is only just around the corner ....

if you do go for ryzen 1700 or intel 8700k- it should easily last you 4 years ! and will increase performance as games become coded better for more cores/threads!

intel build allows you to get most frames possible but is a bit bland bar the Mobo and GPU, which are flagship.

AMD savings allow you to suit the case, cooling, styling to your tastes a bit more- splash more cash on RGB ram or nicer/better cooling .
