Basically I have not got a new pc in ages and my old pc is starting to look a bit on the slow side, not being able to play the latest games at all or with the graphics so low there is no point in it. So with a budget of about £1500 I have come up with the following spec:-

My goal is to overclock the processor to about 3 GHz and to raid 0 the 2 hdd, my main question is with crossfire will these cards work together? And is Overclockers RAM sufficient? I was thinking about strapping the Delta Fan to the heat sink. Changing the case fans for the AK-183s as well as fitting another delta to the rear fan. Any thoughts and advice is very welcome as I have not built a pc in a while.

Thanks

thanks for your imput.

instead of the deltas i was thinking the Akasa AK-174BKT-B for the cpu,
as for memory im looking at 1066 dont want to go lower to save a few £.

im not looking for space im looking for speed with the HDD. dont mind spending more for the speed increase.

as for the psu i went on a watt calc on the web and it came in at 900+ watts for the setup and overclocking. wether this is correct or not i dont no..
will 620w really be ok? for overclocking it?

i like the The Artic Cooler 7. ill go for that instead. would it be worth getting the Arctic silver or just staying with the standard stuff?

fair enough :) if i know all this already i would not be posting. so which is the best ram i can get for this setup without going into silly money.?

surely cheaper but not better?
I thought the thermalright ultra 120 extreme was the best heat sink you could get... just very expensive.

well I was looking at reviews first and it did come out on top which is why i added it but the other one does fair pretty well too so I don’t no.

Honestly I can drink £60 on a Saturday night so I m not fussed about spending a bit of money on something more beneficial

???

IYes I have a corair 620W running a Q6600 and an 8800GTX..

You may have entered into the calculator 4 processors when the quad still counts as one as far as power consumtions is concerned.

yep my bad, clicked the wrong button, feel like a fool now lol. :S

well that saves a few £££ :)

is the Coolermaster Real Power 620w Modular Power Supply any good?
