Bulldozer to come close to the Core i7

I'll take this with a pinch of salt, but it would be great if it's true and pricing's competitive, especially if motherboard's are a bit cheaper as well. Looking to upgrade my Core 2 at the end of April :)

.....Fudzilla....... They just love hits on their site that is full of bad information.

Will wait and see what AMD really bring to the tables once real reviewers get their hands on them.

If they overclock well without dying this could get interesting.

I think the consumer has benefited from AMD having to compete at the low end though. You can get extremely competent CPUs under £100. Most users don't need more. I don't want to see the low end get left behind but it could if AMD don't need to compete there.

yeah agreed, me mate and me built a rig for him a few weeks ago, it has Athlon II X4 in it, overclocked they seem like stonking processors for the cash. AMD are pretty good at the mainstream level of the market, Bulldozer will be decent if its well priced.

Yes lets hope the Bulldozer can shovel some dirt over i7, started my PC days off with AMD, last one was the Barton cracking CPU. Gave it to a silver surfer and its still going strong to this day with a new harddrive.
