Did some bungee in bali last year and realllly want to do it again. Got a few friends now interested as well, so was wondering what the closest place is to london to do this?
quick google shows its *** UK Bungee Club at datchet. But doesn't look like they do this regularly, and are fairly full up. Was wondering if anyone here has any idea about other places, some good safe places near london where it would possible to do this.

I used to live here and although it's 3 hours or so from Paris, it's less than an hour from the Caen (Ouistreham). Having said that the ferry from Portsmouth is 6 hours but to make a long weekend of it, it's fine.

I know it's not in the UK but it's the best I can come up with. I certainly wouldn't be trusting crane-based jumps in the UK.

Do skydiving instead. Around 25 dropzones in the UK for you to choose form, and several around London.... ;)

Freefall > Freefall with a rubber band

I know aj hackett, did it with them in bali and loved it. I know the normandy branch but was really looking for something inside london. Such a pity they dont have a branch here :(

skydiving, pffft, where's the ground rush! (also, its a lot more expensive :p we are poor students after all ;)) But that is on my list of things to do. Along with base jumping :D Friend showed me a video of that. can't wait!

Skydiving? Pfff.....real men BASE jump :o :p

To be honest it's what you really want, if you are loaded then you can do both, but skydiving doesn't work very well with students, I would suspect that bungee jumping is quite cheaper, and you don't really need a lot of training either.

Ground rush comes when you have a bit more eperience of parachuting and you start doing high performance landings, think ~70mph vertically while still under a parachute as you come in to land....

To BASE, you gotta do skydiving first. :p At least it would be near on suicide if you didn't.... I plan on doing a BASE jump in the future, although I will have racked up sereral hundred skydives before I ever do a BASE jump.

I should also add, that I am a struggling uni student and have managed 46 jumps during the last year....

Apologies for the thread hijacking.... :(

theres something very unnverving about jumping from a great height with a band tied orund your leg. id fear it ripping my leg off and then hitting my face on the concrete.

id much rather do a sky dive.

i havent done either.
