the game is indeed 'awesome' and thoroughly enjoyable, i play it with a G25 and love it ... however, i wouldnt pay £120 for a wheel just for this game but i would defo recommend using some sort of wheel to play it..
i know it works well with a console controller but driving games are always better with a wheel+pedal set !
Try the demo for yourself. I wasn't too impressed.
I'd have been more impressed if I hadn't played Burnouts 3 and 4 on consoles already which are superior.
I thought the demo wasn't as good as the full games that came previously on the PS2, but once you start playing the full PC version it's awesome. A lot of the old features that were there before still remain, and more! The graphics are slick, and the gameplay just as fun as ever, with plenty of variation in races to keep you interested, and plenty of incentive to continue and unlock all the cars and win races etc.
I fear the online competition so I'm not going to try until I've completed the full game, though I do have an online record of about 6 seconds on one of the roads randomly from just playing!
Not sure how anyone could play with a wheel though, this game needs a controller for fast movement and quick reactions. Personally, I use a wireless 360 controller and it works like a dream, I never even thought of trying it with my DFP.

Got this a couple of weeks ago, downloaded the demo and bought a key from the EA store, can get a 25% discount if you google about a bit.
They did a great job with the port, the only thing I dont like about the game is the new crash mode. Apart from that its great, people still playing online and its as fun an arcade racer as you could ask for.

Same way you drive a car with the wipers on? Well not exactly... lol
No but your only going to be looking at the middle screen really unless you want to see who's coming up at the side of you.
Not the same thing as the wipers would be moving...plus if my car wipers were about 2" thick am sure they would make driving a fair bit harder

it'd be similar to looking out a window through some blinds. except that it takes up even less of your viewing area.

But its 3 screens not 2. It's not like you have something impairing your vision in front of you.
