Business Expansion - Advice

I am wanting to expand my AV business into wall mounting.

The problem I am facing is that ideally this has to be a 2-man job.

I have had a decent sounding contract land into my lap, rather unexpectedly so I would be a fool to turn it down.

However, I would like some advice on moving from a one-man-band AV installer to somebody with either a Subbie or Employee.

Initially I would like a Subbie as apposed to employee.

All ideas and advice much appreciated.

Chris

Not sure your allowed to advertise asking for Subs in here?? ;)

cash in hand.
I'm not asking for sub's. I am asking for advice.

Cash in hand seems a bit dodgy as they would techically be uninsured.

Employing people is an absolute minefield. The best way to investigate this would be to call the IR and ask for a 'new employer pack' and any other advisory material they might have.

Subcontracting is easy. Just draw up a simple contract, have a solicitor check it over at an exorbitant rate, pay them when they're due.

Good luck :).

My advice is to ask in a business forum.
I really looked and couldnt find one.

EDIT - Found a subbie etc... wish me luck with the contract :D
