Just had a quick look through the article, bit worried now as to which version I've got.
I did buy it last year, though not sure how long they've been swapping components.

It's not gone into my build yet as I'm waiting on a cpu. Will test it when everything's built.

Ya I saw that. I am pretty sure my drive has the updated controller as it’s performance is no where near the benchmarks show in reviews but still not terribly slow. But not amazing.

I bought the drive from Bolton store in February this year.

SM2262ENG is old and fast
SM2262G is new and not as fast.

Got mine last month, ENG version

wow that is pretty bad. i'll need to unscrew the mobo heatsink and have a gander when i do a clean out.

It's not great to bait and switch but realistically would people be able to tell the difference between the 2 in real world performance?
