Im still looking for a new car but have not had much luck finding anything worth buying in Prague, I am seriously considering importing it from the US, however this would involve me buying it without seeing it first + it would have to stay in storage for 6 months (so I don’t have to pay import tax and VAT).

Im looking at a late 2006 or 2007 car, any thoughts?

Have you thought about driving across the border to Germany, say Munich or Dresden? They have quite a few American car dealerships so it might be worth investigating. Also, I heard there's an EC law whereby you don't pay VAT on a car if you're resident abroad and you're importing...

I still think importing a car you've not seen, with no warranty, from the other side of the world when you live next door to the producing country pretty much is a pretty daft idea.

Well yes however I have only have a 25 to 30K GBP budget which does not buy much here in Europe, Porsche offer a worldwide warrantee an all US sold cars so it would be honored by the Porsche dealer here.

The car i found is for sale by a Porsche dealer not on ebay.

But im still looking in Germany for a nice 335 or something like that
