I bought a Zotac NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Amp Extreme GPU a year ago.

*** Don't link to competitor sites - please re-read the rules! ***

It's been connected to an MSI Z170A Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard.

The card weighs 1.5 KG and I've noticed it's starting to dip, due to the weight.

I'm pretty sure that, eventually, either the GPU connector or the PCI-E connector will break.

The card is 5cm thick and the bottom of the card is around 18.5cm above the bottom of the case.

Does anyone know where I can find something that will keep it held up?

You might want to edit your opening post to remove the links as it breaks this forums rules.

As for the sagging just use some string or fishing wire to hold up the end if the card.

Video cards really have got ridiculous with some of the coolers, yes they may cool well but the amount of sag it can cause to a gpu is comical. Its about time some of these companies that come up with these coolers figure out some way to support them as well.

Cases actually used to have slots that the end of an expansion card would slot into, and you could get extensions for shorter expansion cards, however consumer cases don't really have them anymore so they can mount HDDs or fans opposite the expansion cards.

to be fair even in 10 years that card won't damage the pcie slot or anything due to sag.

you should watch the Nvidia video on how they build their cards, literially have a pc being dripped 10ft or so and the card being flung about inside. 0 damage

Got a link to that?

The vendors cards like 1080 FE or Vega fe still have the 3 screw holes at the end of the shroud for the bracket, think its just companies like dell who make use of it to secure the card for shipping.

Shipped a pc off, delivery men dropped it and broke the GPUs , solder cracked . That's with expanding foam packets and double boxed :(

Dropped Parvum a message, seems common in US to get Arcylic holders, sure they have lots of off cuts they could use

Fishing wire or braided cable for looks, being the best and cheapest I think.

Something simple like some kind of jack, threaded bar and internal pipe with a bit of rubber on the end would also work.
