Hey, im going to be buying the Asus EEE 1000 this weekend. :) I was going to go for the 901 but the keyboard looks too small. Seeing as il be using it for a lot of office programs i thought it would be better to get a better keyboard?
( http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp... 10.0" Laptop - Linux - White (EEEPC1000-W003 )

Just have a few questions first. (:

1, What kind of RAM should i buy to install into it?
2, How easy will it be to duel boot it with XP? I want to duel boot it, but is there a way so i can listen to all my music files on both the linux partition and the xp partition? Or do i need to duplicate the music.
3, Will it play World of Warcraft? Not fussed about the graphics, just want to know if its playable.
4, Is it small enough to simply put in my college bag?

Thanks, Ben.

Hello mate,

I have the 1000H so can answer a couple of questions.

1. I bought a 2gb OCZ 800mhz chip and it worked fine. Also very easy to upgrade the ram and HD.
2. Sorry havent tried dual boot, but I have tried XP and vista on it. Vista worked ok but there was software problems with the ASUS hotkey/ACPI software
3. I havent tried WOW so dont know how intensive it is. I have played C&C generals, UFO and GTA san andreas on it with no problems. You just need to set it to super high perf.
4. It has its own protective slip which I use and chuck it in either my main laptop bag with a 15" laptop in the main compartment or just a small rucksack if I am out and about.

Cheers dude, anyone else? :)
