Why? High failure rate?
£800 is a big risk for 90 days warranty.
Does the manufacturer’s warranty still apply in these cases, even if the retailer only gives 90 days?
My Mate was selling his 2080ti for £600 and I still wouldn't buy it due to I was afraid it would die..£800 is a big risk for 90 days warranty.
Not a lot of vendors offer warranty on used cards, but EVGA certainly do. It'll be backdated to when EVGA originally shipped the card out brand new though, rather than when you purchased it used.Does the manufacturer’s warranty still apply in these cases, even if the retailer only gives 90 days?

It was a Palit 2080ti gaming Pro OC which he himself bought secondhand for £800 a few months beforeSurely your mate had warranty you could use if it came to it. Which one was it?

So it would have been third hand
He has sold it now (But I don't know if they did paid him £600 for it)I think he'll be lucky to shift it for £600, not without a warranty, too risky for that sort of money.
Well performance wise the 2080 is just a 1080 ti with -3gb vram and RT cores slapped on. Also the 1080 is 3 years old now. A £700+ card in 2018/19 should have more vram.
I bought the 2080 but I know it terms of what it is...it's a pretty bad purchase. I just wish I could wait longer for 7nm
