buying tunes from itunes...DRM free?

has anyone bought songs from there and if so, are they truly DRM free?

Yes they are. I prefer buying from amazon though as they are MP3 and better quality. Itunes ones are AAC or something so do not play on everything.

They are DRM free but IIRC they are also tagged with your iTunes account, not sure if this can be removed or not. It doesn't stop you copying them, but they'll know who originally purchased the songs...
