and now i have to go through all that **** again?

Ouch. :(

But...Bargains immenent?

*n

Nightmare, always far cheaper than HMV on the highstreet, hopefully so great bargains coming up though.

Aw - that's bad news. The one here in Blackpool was miles cheaper than HMV :(

It'll be online purchases all the time from now on then...

They just opened a huge new store in the place where the old Tower Records used to be, in Glasgow. Shame.

i was on a hunt for 'urban trauma' on dvd today, in musiczone it's £5.97, half the price of virgin - but they couldn't order it in because i was told they were going into liquidation - i was shocked
they're still recieving stock daily (at least in birmingham)
what a shame - i'll miss that shop - and their bargains :(

Great shame, I've been buying albums from musiczone for a while now. Wonder if the album I got from them today is the last :o

That said, today I got 2 DVDs from HMV at £3 each, The Usual Suspects and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Granted, usually they're ripoff merchants but they do have good deals from time to time.

Eh? As If! They're uber cheap and everyone I know seems to go there first for their CDs.

I'll definitely be buying mostly online from now on :(

whats fopp?

I can't believe it, but the website is actually more expensive than the store so it seems!

Its a shop much like HMV, but most back catalogue CDs are £5 or £8 compared to the £16.99 pricetag you can find in other high street shops.

New releases are £10, but you just can't beat it for completing CD colections. I got every radiohead CD for £5 each.

Edit - Ah seems you can find their high street shops via the website :)

That's mental, I used to work at the Music Zone In Hull. The manager would constantly wax lyrical about how amazing MusicZone was in comparison to MVC, and how much the new work ethic spells nothing but success for the company.

Where's an OWNED picture when you need one?

I always HATED MusicZone. What a horrible horrible store that place is. It's not that cheap and it has the worst layouts and lack of organization of any shop I've been in, in my life.

My local one got name changed to MusicZone for about a week, then name changed back to MVC  .

Went in there today, everything still the same price as before :( :p

I've bought loads of DVD's from our Hanley one.

RIP

Ditto.

I also enjoyed their Christmas advertising in the window, bearing in mind it's right across from HMV...

"On average 15% cheaper than you know who." - In the HMV font and colour.

Cheeky gets! :D

how soon will they be shutting ?

we bought my dad music zone vouchers for crimbo cos we knew he liked looking around it OOOPS
