Hello - what the are these things called?

cableym5.png

Right, if you haven't already guessed it....I'm wondering what these things are.

They are used to tidy cables, usually plugs more so than anything else and I've searched - with no joy. I assume they have some sort of stupid brand name.

The bottom part of the picture is the teethed tubing that the leads are hidden behind and the thing above is the tool which is used to get the leads into the tubing - you run it down the tubing with the plugs linked to it and 4000 leads become one, in theory.

Anyone have any idea? Apparently PoundStretcher used to sell them, but I haven't been in as of yet.

Cheers.

That's the very one.

What a ridiculous brand name, no wonder I couldn't find them. :o

Thanks. I think the top thing looks a bit like a ladies part.

I think I know what your on about but have no idea where to find them, I think those JML people probably do something like that, you know those people that make the odd random product here and there but as it seems so revolutionary at the time every houswife or DIY'ing husband has to buy one only to realise its a load of LANGUAGE

Sorry went off on a bit of a tangent there but I'm sure I have seen JML do something like what your trying to describe, try googling JML cable tidy or something.

Cheers

Oh..... gotta appreciate that 'artistic impression' ;)

Edit: I was right.... as I was posting this someone found a piccie above... nice one

What can I say, I like rough women...

Rough!!!! you a fan of women/men with badly gone wrong gender swap operations society or something?!?!?

I still just cant see any resemblence there at all...... its baffling me as to why you said it...... made me laugh stangley though!!! :)

I use spiral wrap as it's cheaper and the end result is better.

I havn't been able to source cheap black spiral wrap yet though.

You can buy that stuff in a competitor store. Begins with an M, I'll say no more....
(Tesla, they also sell black spiral wrap, or at least they did a few months ago!)

Lakeland - the kitchen store! - also stock it. (I don't think they could be classed as a competitor, but feel free to remove the name if need be!)

It's quite expensive at £8 for a box - spiral wrap is cheaper, and Philips make a cable wrapper that's £3 you can buy in a supermarket, but it's pretty rubbish in comparison.
