Hi All,

Myself (S2000) and NickXX (e36 318iS) are off to Cadwell Park next Saturday for an open pit trackday... venturing away from Bedford for the first time!

Day booked here through trackdays.co.uk = http://www.trackdays.co.uk/tracks/cadwell_park.htm

We are staying over the night before in the Royal Oak in, 75 quid for a twin room with breakfast for the night - http://www.royaloaksplash.co.uk/

Let me know if your interested in coming along too !

Cadwell is an epic little track, I did a track day there YEARS back in a race prepped XR2, including the 'mountain' and I still have the nightmares! Lots of opportunity to get it very wrong and very dented so treat with caution chaps.

I think I'm going to give this one a miss as I'm saving the money for a few upgrades. Currently getting prices on a LSD and a baffled sump which should make the leon a bit more fun on the track. I'll have to go to the one after.

You'll seriously love Cadwell I'm sure after the flatness of Bedford. Listen to what is said in the briefing though as there are some key things to rememeber about Cadwell which I have no doubt will be covered.

Theres a section after the leap that I call the farmyard. It literally seems like you're hurtling left right left right through a farm complex with the trees on the right, buildings on the left and wall outside on the slightly downward exit.

And the climb up through Charlies is fearsome with it's long double apex right coming off... is a a rush. You lucky thing.

been watching YouTube clips to get an idea of how to get round the track. Seems the common trend is videos showing what happens if you lift off and driving gods absolutely flying round!

If you search up s2000 cadwell park there is an absolutely perfect 'how to get round here at speeds you didn't dream was possible' clip to watch. ..... ..... ..... Honestly though ..... ..... ..... I won't be doing those speeds !

Shame your not coming silent bob, but we will definately be going to Bedford again soon. I'll do a proper thread on it, but my s2000 has been chosen by wheels in motion as their car to develop a proper 'race' geo and suspension setup.... Watch this space !

I'll be giving this one a miss too. My car fund has taken a big hit recently, soon after buying some Yellowstuff pads I discovered a cracked spring on the rear suspension:o I've chosen to refresh the suspension all round with a slightly lower and stiffer option to get rid of some of my comedy body roll and 4x4 ride height.

Then I'll be back to WIM for my alignment again!

But when all that is sorted I'll definitely be looking to test my new brake pads and suspension out on track :D
