CBA this year, it was vaguely amusing with RATM (esp as the X-factor winner was pap), but I've no problem with Matt Cardle getting to #1, at least he's a proper musician who has put out some music while in various bands. Ok so it took a TV talent show for him to get wider exposure, but at least he's put some effort into it before.
...plus he's from Essex, so gets my support by default, rather than some avant garde ponce recording minutes of silence as an artistic 'statement', nobber.
