Hi Guys,

I was wondering if there can be any lenience on the Members Market rules about having 1000 posts on the website.

I would be interested in using this area and have been a member of the website over the 180 day limit but find myself falling short on posts.

I would class myself as an active member within the forum but like in real life I don't pipe up too much so will actively read the information I don't always leave the usual "Thats great buddy" comments on the project logs. (Unless they deserve it :P)

Let me know what you have to say and that :)

edit: I would love members market access so I could sell items from my currently build to by lovely new onces from OcUK :P

As a user of the board I feel much safer and inclined to use it with strict rules. I appreciate it's annoying for new users but it's worth it once you have access. In around 50 or 60 trades I've never had a problem (yet).

Just follow me around the boards, complimenting my erudite contributions and you'll have qualified in no time.

This is a beautifully crafted post.

(did I hit 1,000 posts yet because that plan might work)

e: wait, 300 odd posts in a year and a half? That is not contributing to the forum in any shape at all (and does, I assume, include all of those in MM) and doesn't then also play nicely with your BUT I WANT MM TO WORK LIKE THIS post.

Follow the rules because they are there for good reasons.

I echo Hades' view.

Been doing MM trades since I joined and qualified. Apart from one hiccup, but that's a one off, things been good for over 100 transactions.

Just join in some of the chat. Go into sub forums of interest.

TBH it's pretty easy to get that many posts if you read the forums for an hour or so a day.

It's one of the strict rules on here I actually agree with considering it involves money etc

Also, posting in the random image thread, the YouTube thread, (my stupendously fabulous militaria thread,) and the GIF thread will add to the boards in a fun way and boost your post count, and you don't have to talk about anything if you don't want to. :)

Print it out so that you might forever bathe thyself in its glory.

The MM is great because of the restrictions. I've not bought or sold a huge amount from there (as you can see from my trust) but the times I have, it's been absolutely flawless.

No fear of being scammed and because the level of trust is so high on there, some people even post before receiving payment.

I disagree. I'm lucky enough to have qualified for MM access before the 1000 post limit and I've used the MM quite a bit. I've been here a while but still havent reached 1000 posts. When I post I try and think about what needs to be said. (I'm not saying all my posts are world-standard contributions. I'm sure theres plenty of crap in there too.)

If those 300 posts are all pure waffle, link-n-run and +1 posts etc. then fine - that wouldn't really be contributing. If each post takes some time, thought or actually helps people then maybe they should have more weight.

I'm not advocating a change of the rules either btw.
