Call of Duty Black Ops 7

I'm not minding multiplayer myself to be honest.... will have to see how I get on with it after a few days, I'm not addicted to it either mind, just 30 minute sessions here and there.

Running 1440P Native with Extreme settings and getting around 70FPS, time to start tweaking and enable FrameGen.

Please say that's SP settings, you'd have to be a lunatic to use extreme settings versus competitive in MP :P

So, is this as bad as i expected it to be? or are people enjoying it?

Campaign awful according to most reviews

I only play multiplayer and I'm enjoying it like every other COD to be honest, either get used to addition of wall mechanics or avoid it :) and I hated the BETA.

No that was MP…..I’m not very competitive. It was the RT settings, turned those off now as apparently only available in MP/Zombies and not SP now at 138FPS capped without FrameGen.

Ah dude, don't play MP with the eye candy maxed, you'll just get owned - the shadows/lighting/smokes/flashes/explosions/foliage etc, will be way thicker/vast, and you will get shot before you can see clearly again etc.
I certainly wouldn't be using RT in MP either :)

I know this is MW3 not BO7, but use this as a rough translation for competitive settings for MP, as the fundamentals will be the same - but use DLSS not XESS (like he mentions for some reason) - FWIW, I used it when MW3 came out, and it's served me well :)

Hope this helps.

Its not for me i dont think, will stick to bf6 for my fps fix, was hoping cod may of got back to its form, havent enjoyed a cod for years really :( mw2019 was ok but havent really liked a cod game since the original mw3.

Glad your having fun though, thats what gaming is all about.

Yeah I just play it for fun and running and gunning for 30 mins to an hour :D once Nuketown drops I'll just play that map as much as possible  as that's what I did on Black Ops 6

I'll still end up playing Battlefield 6 more as neither game ticks every box for me, but I enjoy Strikepoint on there a lot as there's more tension in that mode if both squads are well balanced.

Not a fan of either Battle Royale mode though, as I suck on both

Basically it's the always the same, it was like this in the last cod game and the new BF game. Dont need a video, just do this:

Turn AA on

Turn AF to x16

Use high or max textures

Turn off the everything else and what can't be turned off, turn to Low

This will give you best visibility of enemies. And it's not a new thing either, we were doing the same thing in the settings since Call of duty 2 in 2005!

True, we were tweaking CS in a similiar way before that too ;)

However, you've missed some features that AStaley may find useful, that the video highlights; such as removing motion blur, changing ADS options when aiming, grouping the hud closer inwards, the god send tinitus fix, setting your speakers to headphones, and adjusting the way the colours are displayed so make things clearer.

Ads, sound are not graphics settings though but yeah w/e works, you probably don't want to use speakers in a fps anyway. Motion blur comes under my suggestion of "turn everything off"

The reason I initially linked the video, was because I'd mentioned using 'competitive settings' of which said video explains - which ADS, sound, HUD distance, FOV, display gradient etc, all play a factor in, when giving you the best possible competitive edge, it was never just about graphics ;) Thus, said video with help him get the best possible overall experience :)

BTW, when I mentioned 'setting your speakers to headphones' that doesn't mean using headphones ;) if you watch the video, it relates to changing the sound settings, so everything quieter becomes louder/more sensitive, so that you can hear sneaky quiet footsteps better, along with silenced weapons/shots in the distance better etc ;) so you use the headphones setting, even with speakers :)
