Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare / Warzone (Battlenet ID's in OP)

WZ did crash once for me during warmup and its been a long while since I've had a crash before that :( . Only really tried the vanguard royale duos so no idea about the relative weapon power yet :p

Vanguard guns have nothing on the m4a1 and m13. I picked up a vanguard lmg and the recoil was crazy. Was quite fun emptying the clip before i swapped it for a double barrel shotgug

Just tried a game of HC shipment. It ran smoothly but the ADS bug still happened. First time I've played HC as well - the TTK is waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy too short :D

On the latest yea, also got another game crash. I might also format this weekend, Halo Infinite and CoD WZ are the only 2 games that are crashing for me. Playing ME1 and F1 2021 today for multiple hours without an issue.

I had the same problems you all mentioned (flashes, sound and video stuttering, random ADS, pinkish square out of nowhere, grenade icon when using killstreaks, etc) last night before updating the drivers (what I just did but, as far as I could see here, will not help). In fact, I found this thread through a Google search using some of these symptoms, as I was worried it could be something wrong with my rig (which it's not, fortunately). So, It's not the driver, it's the game and the (complete lack of) QA and testing before launching a new season. It's been like that for a long time, even before they started trying to push Cold War and now Vanguard down our throats (together with not changing the available maps from season to season), although it's worsening each season.

The fact is that COD MW is a fantastic game that they are trying to kill, so they can sell the newer ones. The funny thing is: I bought Cold War during pre-sale, but couldn't stand the cartoonish look (too clean), the sniper-friendly game (giant maps with small players shooting from afar), the muffled sound (are the players using slippers? Sound is a HUGE part in MWs strategy and awareness), etc. I basically played for a few hours before going back to COD MW for good. So, when Vanguard came out looking strikingly similar, I didn't even try. And I don't like Warzone, I'm basically a DM maniac, especially for the smaller maps, so this "integration", for me, is a hassle and not a solution.

Now, let's see if the new MW (which I really hope will be from Infinity Ward) will return to the quality and attention to detail of COD MW, and with a better QA team. In the meantime, let's see how long they take to fix these ridiculous problems.

It seems like the norm for buggy games / updates to get released without proper testing these days. It seemed to start around the BF3 days. Hopefully they fix MW soon - I was planning to get next year's MW kunless it looks really bad) but will steer clear out of protest if they just break MW and leave it.

It is highly annoying and yes, there appears to be no QA. That or they purposely broke Modern Warfare to get people to spend on Vanguard. Vanguard / Caldera map works a lot better than Modern Warfare currently.
Why dont they just develop Modern Warfare which is fantastic and have some paid things for that. Id pay for some new maps similar to Shoot house that combine small DM maps with Caldera - small areas of Caldera would be perfect for DM

Nah they're pants. Don't get me started on the sniper rifles. The fun police have been all over them.

What are they thinking?
The sniper are indeed pure guff. No doubt the weapons will get better with time, the Cold War guns have slowly became as fun to use Modern Warfare guns with improved graphics and animations and a similar feel to MW. Hopefully Vanguards will follow
The HDR feels like it was desiged and programmed by a team of professionals, in contrast Vanguards do not. Imagine picking up something of WW2 era that has the same polished feel as the HDR, M13, M4A1 or any MW gun. Did they sack all the Infinity Ward staff or something? Or maybe didnt pay them enough and they all left.

Hopefully a new pre 'Infinity Ward' employee team will create a Modern Warfare in future. Id pay £100 at the drop of a hat for an updated Modern Warfare with properly done ray tracing

Infinity ward are currently working on COD2022/MW2.

I'm sure I read yesterday that Raven (Or whoever is in charge) said there will be a weapons balance in a week or two.

Loaded this up for the first time in several months:

- What the hell is going on with the stuttering and lag?

- In a party of 5 we ALL had the gun loadout menu pop up at the same time in 3 games of CyberAttack making it literally unplayable. This felt more like a hack than anything.

They broke it. :(

I'm starting to think that part of the problem (the stuttering part) is due to packet loss that, in turn, is due to high loads on the servers in consequence of the so-called "maintenance". The effect is strikingly similar to packet loss: low ping throughout, but sudden "jumps" where your character disappears here and appears there, deaths where you simply doesn't see how you died, etc. OK, it doesn't explain the rest, but for the lagging part, I think that's it. They are copyiing/installing lots of things on the servers and they are slow; or they took a bunch offline and the remaining ones are struggling with the load.

If I'm right, there's a good and a bad side. The good is that it will be OK again as soon as this "maintenance" is finished; the bad is that they don't give a damn to the remaining players while they install the new files.
