I'm getting really frustrated with the original COD. I've lost count of how many times I've completed all the tasks, only to have to restart the level cos the game doesn't realise I'm finished. For instance, on one level I did everything on the list and made it to the other guys at a car. But they just stood there waiting for me. I had to restart the level to get the end sequence to kick in.

It seems to happen to me on every level :(

Anyone else noticed this with COD?

I bought the game along with United Offensive and installed both at the same time. I installed all the patches for COD, then all the patches for UO. COD should be at 1.5, but in the game it says 1.3

Could the United Offensive patches have screwed up the COD patches?

I had something like this happen with COD2 on the first damn level. Was at the part where you have to throw grenades into the bathtub and thru windows at the firing range. You have to do it in a particular order otherwise it wouldnt register when you threw them in the right places.

Had to restart it like 6 times to get the order right so i could move on. =/

Tab out of the game
Press CTRL ALT DEL
Go to precesses & find CoD
Right click ---> set affinity
Set it to either Core 0 or Core 1

A few games need this. Sin episodes hates duel core. Tomb raider (the new one before patching). It happens now & again.

If I alt tab out of COD it buggers up the brightness, so I use WinLauncherXP to launch COD with affinity set to 1.

Yep this is an excellent little program. You can setup all your games which don't like dual core in a list (bf2,total war, COD1/2, etc) and then just double click them.

BF2 & CoD 2 both like duel core.

Not for me they dont.

BF2 runs like crap if i leave both cores running, and COD2 has the scarecrow syndrome (some AI players just standing there with their arms spread out).
