i'm going to go camping this weekend, but the sleeping bad and camping matt i have is useless, it's always lumpy and i can never get to sleep.

i've tried an inflatable matress in the past, and while they are better, they seem very easy to puncture and go flat in the night!

today someone told me about an inflatable matress which has a built in sleeping bag, and they said it was awesome, and doesn't go flat in the night!

has anyone here tried this sort of matress/sleeping bag thing, and are they any good? also, do they have a name and could i buy one in somewhere like argos or would i have to go to a special outdoor type shop?

thanks!

What sort of camping. Will you be walking and carrying your kit or will you be heading to a site and staying put for the duration?

If hiking and carrying your kit I'd go for something like this - is what I use and can highly recommend them due to size, weight and comfort: http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/thermarest-trail-lite-lightweight-sleeping-mat-p141005

If you'r driving to a camp site and can afford to have something bigger and heavier then either an inflatable matress or a proper camp bed like this:http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/hi-gear-aluminum-camping-bed-p143627

Depends on the size of your tent though too.

EDIT: Oh, OTHER sort of camping.

I just got back from camping in wales, tbh the camping matt i bought from argos wasn't any good at all. First link in the above post would prob be best but it's a bit pricey.

I make do with a good quality sleeping bag, a very cheap and cheerful mat and all my dry clothes stacked up underneath.

I think I know what you mean, they are pretty popular now. Never used one so can't advise.

I was camping sunday there, just used the roll mat... Although I was far enough gone I could've fell asleep anywhere...

I like something nice and hard to sleep on now and again ;)
