Can an employer force me to work over the christmas holidays?

Get a signed copy of your holiday form already if you don't.

If I was going to be working it it'd be at 1.5/2 x my standard rate to make up for the inconvienience.

Overtime? Novel idea sadly. Because I am paid over a certain amount, i dont qualify for overtime

One last thing to consider is that although they probably can't force you, if there is a chance you might get to keep your job then being flexible over the holidays might make the difference.
