Can anybody spec me a Gamepad?

yes the x64 drivers work perfect here :) i dont even own an xbox360 but i like the pad

plus any game that has 'games for windows' on top of the box will support the x360 pad without any messing about

The 360 controller is too good to be ignored. It works just like a console gamepad when running xinput enabled games. When running games based on directinput it work just like a standard PC gamepad.

The only problem with the 360 controller is that there is no way to customize the drivers. That might be a pain because for example with Direct input both trigers are mapped onto a single axis. So in a racing game we can not push brake and gas at same, if you press both triggers the driver it would be like not pushing any pedal.

With the wired version you can install a alternative driver, the xbcd that will allow you full customization, dead zones, remaping axes to triggers, enabling rumble, etc.

the 360 pad is nowhere near as good as the ps2/logitech design
i have xbox 1 xbox 360 ps2 pad and logitech dual action i find the logitech pad is unbeatable for pes.

You'll find most people prefer the 360 pad, not all but most. For me it fits in my hands so much better than the PS2/3 style pads and the analogue sticks are much easier to use.

Just a standard normal wired one. Or you can get the Standard Wireless one but you need a 360 Wireless reciever thing.

The 360 controller is definitely the best choice btw, best controller ever.

well the one on the ocuk site, comes with it and its £32, if i got it from the highstreet, how much will the adapter and controller cost?

No the wireless reciever is a seperate purchase and I don't think OCUK sell them, on the high street they are less than £10 for the reciever and about £33 for the pad

there are 4 packages for the xbox 360 controller
1 wired controller for the 360
2 wired controller for the pc, same as above but comes with the drivers for your pc which can be downloaded anyway
3 wireless controller for the 360
4 wireless controller for the pc, this comes with the wireless receiver (which can be purchesed seperately across the developed and maybe undevloped world as well) and the driver disc that again can be downloaded from microsoft anyway

the one on ocuk is the for wireless is what i described as number 4, wired it is either 1 or 2
