Can anyone remember this cartoon?

Sealed in my Sarcophagus.
My partner is driving herself insane trying to think of the name of a cartoon dog. The description she gave me is "a pink squiggle" she said it was definately a cartoon and prob late 70's early 80's. Possibly named something like "messy" or "garbage" or something else thats a one word name.

Its not Rhubarb and Custard and ill be damned if i can find anything on the net. Ive checked the usual old TV show websites but cant see anything it could be.

Anyone got any ideas?

I dunno how it was spelt but that's how you said it, as in whenever anyone saw the dog they'd say "what a mess!"

hmmm none of the above ( so im told ). Personally i think she has just imagined it but the search continues!!
 
I know what she means, shes not mad tell her. I reckon ill find it tommorow. bed time now.
