Hi,

At work we need 1 additional Microsoft Excel license, all we need is Excel and nothing else, I have found that Home/Student version is all we need and its the cheapest option, however I am not sure if we can buy it for bussiness use?
I can't get information I need from Microsoft website.

Please help.

This doesn't look good, it costs a fortune to buy full version of Office Standard or Small Business edition as OEM is not available without buying a new pc it seems.

This thread shows why businesses are better with an OVS agreement with Core CAL and SA.

We are a small business and only have about 35 computers and 2 servers. I am still new here but we always buy new pc's with OEM office small business which costs i think around £175.

It seems that you cannot buy OEM office alone as I cannot really find it anywhere.

I cannot even find anywhere where I can buy Excel on its own.

I obviously can't give you a link to where you can buy Excel on its own.
I can say that one of the largest online etailers have it.
Try searching Google UK only for "Buy Excel 2007" and see what you can find.

I have managed to find Excel 2007 on its own now, only for around £150 (just had to use google properly :) ), expensive but I'm not paying from my own wallet.

The thing is that we must have Excel 2003/2007 as we are going to install some additional Add-Ins which will collect a lot of data from our financial software, this is to process all sort of reports.

My mate has Office 2003, full, not legal and he has been using it since release in his business!!! I have told him it is illegal but the guy is only concerned about not spending loads of money on a bit of software!! I bought the full 2007 edition which cost £300+. He thinks i am mad!
