Someone has changed my msn/hotmail password using my secret question. They have also changed the answer to my secret question so I cannot change the password back.

There is an option to have your password sent to your hotmail account, but is there any way to read my hotmail emails without knowing my password? Is there any solution to my problem?

What would be the point in having a password if you could read emails without it. You will have to contact hotmail about this problem to get access to your account again.

I heard if you want the answer to Zefan's secret question, you only have to ask...;);):D:D:D:D

Watch it Missy.

If you're lucky, and use MSN messenger, and have told it to save your password, you can gain access that way.

Thats a lie. If his password has been changed - the saved one isn't going to do jack....

The idea is to have a seperate account it could be sent to. Not the same account you've lost the password to. Are you Irish?

i had the same a few months ago, but Gmail

absolute nightmare, i hated it as they then got access to all my other passwords (forums, ebay, amazon etc etc)

desperate emails to google, they contacted me about 4 days later.
I provided proof of ID, proof of emails in the inbox.. they investigated, and restored my access

I pay for my live account (same thing as hotmail) and do not consider myself stupid for doing so.

LoL but why pay for a email you can get for free? thats my point all isp's give away free addys i can have upto 10 and have them linked to msn and ive got webspace :D

all this without having to pay even more money to bill gates

Well that's wrong straight away. Not all ISPs offer e-mail addresses. Be* wanted £2 a month for e-mail so it was cheaper to go with Live. Also ISPs don't last for ever so now the odds of me having to change e-mail address again are reduced.

The mailbox synchronization is excellent wherever I view it and wherever I make changes, the capacity is huge, it won't expire if I don't login for ages and the support is great.

All in all I get good value for money out of it.

You could get a domain and hosting for that and have as many emails as you like :p

When I signed up I did provide an alternate email address but it's been so long that I no longer have that email address.

I have contacted hotmail and filled in a long questionnaire basically asking you loads of information like who's on your msn contact list, any emails you know you have in your inbox etc etc and I'm waiting to hear back from them.
