Hi people i just got myself a fan cooler to slot into the back of my pc under the graphics card just to keep it all nice and cool.

I thought it would just slot into one of the pci slots but it doesnt its quite thick and when i put it under the graphics card it was nearly touching it so i moved it down a slot, do you think i should move it up to the slot right under my graphics card to get the full effect of it, i can feel warm air being blown out the back so i no it is working, but the graphics card temp hasnt really dropped much, im not expecting it to drop a great deal just wanted your thoughts on whats the best slot to use for it?

cheers

Liam

sorry didnt realize just wanted to show people what fan it is as the site does not have them thought it would help people see what im going on about, sorry again any chance you can give me some advuce on my post?

I really don't think you get it, remove the link :p

The graphics temperature at idle probably wont change much. Give it a go running a demanding game and monitor the temps (or just minimise and quickly see) to see if it's dropped load temps.

sorry all done now just not sure what slot to put it over as it doesnt actually fit into a slot it just sits on top of it, would it be ok with it being near enough touching the graphics card or not just want to take all the heat away from it?

Like this one? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/cgi-b...em_Coolers.html#aSY_2d000_2dGE#aSY_2d000_2dGE

Not worth the additional noise for the performance from what I've heard from other users.

I wouldn't have it too close to the graphics card fan as it could make temps worse, putting it lower down should enhance the airflow through the case. Too many factors to say for sure, you'll need to try it in various position to see what gives the best results.

Fit an aftermarket cooler to the graphics card for better results.
