Can I improve my line stability??

I am currently on Bulldog 8mb using a Linksys WAG54GS wireless router for my connection...Problem is, every now and again, the connection drops! (the internet, not the wireless!)

Question is, are there any tweaks/tips I can use to improve the stability??? (even at the expense of some speed as I get the full 8mb!)

Doesnt happen every day, but when it does happen.....you can bet I'm an hour into a quest on Guild Wars and I have to start again!!!

Any assistance will be appreciated....
