Can I join more than one religion?

Dionysus/Bacchus rules......;)

Leman Russ would drink him under the table any day of the week:D

Whats with all the religious talk anyways? Is it because we're so close to Xmas?

Don't join any religion and then when the end times come let the gods of each faith argue amongst themselves as to who gets to send you to hell and which hell you get sent to

I think it's fair to say that the markedly larger part too, but I don't know the numbers offhand...

I'm not sure as the largest Christian Church, the Catholic Church do hold to the trinity, as does the Anglican Church.

Amongst the other Protestant communities you may be correct, but as a whole I wouldn't like to guess. I would suspect that Unitarianism is not as widespread as Trinitarianism.

Just be Agnostic, I was brought up as a Christian but I could never beleive it, I remember thinking in church once when I was about 9 or 10, What am I doing here eating a tiny piece of bread when I could be at home eating a sandwich :D.

I could never be atheist, mainly probably because of my upbringing, but Agnosticism is more comfortable religion.

Agnosticism isn't a religion, its a philosophy.

Argh. I meant "larger part do", not "larger part too".

Oops.

Shows how much I know then, but I'm perfectly happy being Agnostic.

As am I. And if there is a God and if I stand before him and he asks, "why did you not believe", I shall say, "I did not disbelieve nor beleive, I was as ambivalent about your existence as you were obviously as ambivalent of mine."

Which religion do people recommend and why? I suppose I should join them all so I'm fully covered.

Just pick a hat or hats that you like. If you want lightweight go Jewish, Islam has a wide choice within it, Christianity isn't big on hats for the most part so you will need to go Amish or get ordained to get some good head gear, Sikhs have it pretty good.

Well you raise a good point my friend. How am I going to wear all my new faiths head gear? I mean it's going to be tricky wearing them all at the same time...

erm just a question but what if there is no god ? Then you are royally screwed for worshipping a false god

If there's no god then what does it matter whether you worshipped one or not? Assuming for a second that no god means no afterlife then you'd be entirely unaware of the time "wasted" in worshipping a god that doesn't exist and if there is no god then you're not going to suffer any penalty(s) from any god(s) that are displeased you chose to worship a god other than them.

I was a christian. Baptised and Confirmed. As I grew older I realised I had no belief in such things, And then I became outright aethiest. After contemplation, I decided I was more agnostic, Aethiest is the outright belief there is nothing out there. Agnostic means you're willing to accept given evidence! Which is my standing.

Lately I've been liking the idea of the buddhist beliefs, Elements, But I dislike the idea of reincarnation, In the sense that we could be eating an ancestor by eating a cow\pig\elephant, I don't believe that for 1 minute.

I just like the healthy aspects of the religion and the meditation. I may still follow those aspects, and still eat meat. So in essence, I'm still agnostic, but I follow parts of a belief system because I like it.
