Hey :D So I've pretty much got everything (Doing a Powermac G4 Case mod) but the ram I was going to get would be from America (£50 for 8GB 1333Mhz), but being from America I'm too impatient too wait :p So I was hoping to be able to use some RAM from my current PC (A micro Acer Aspire thingy) But I noticed in CPU-Z that the Ram is DDR2 400Mhz  So I've got a P8h67-M PRO board at the moment annd for ram it says only DDR3 1333/1006Mhz, Will it be backwards compatible... Or should I just be patient... Or even get RAM from somewhere else? :)

Thanks :D

Hi there, unfortunately DDR2 RAM won't work at all in a DDR3 system.

You could wait, but if you are in the UK you could get this stuff for £22 more and is also faster.

Ahh okay thanks :D Yeah I would've got 1600Mhz but the Mobo will only support up 1333Mhz (I think that's what it meant) so it'd just be underclocked :(

Ah yes, good point. Due to the board you would need to run it at 1333MHz. However, you could get some extra performance out of it by tightening the timings.

Also, that Ripjaw kit seems to be the cheapest 8GB (2x4GB) kit of any speed for sale on OCUK at the moment.

And it does look pretty awesome ;) Haha :D Thanks for the help :)
