hey guys,

is it a good idea to limit my FPS on CS GO? will that stop it heating up as much and using more power?

Yeah it will lower CPU and GPU usage and therefore lower the amount of power they draw and heat they produce.

Is it a good idea? Well many people leave it unlocked as the game is more responsive at 300FPS even on a 60hz screen and Csgo is a highly competitive game.

is it also true that running a 144hz monitor is more taxing on a GPU compared to running ao 60hz or whatever?

I don't know.. but you will certainly notice frame rate drops more on a 144Hz monitor than on a 60Hz. So I guess it is more taxing to keep it running at peak.
