Can I use my Orange Mobile WiFi sim in an Ipad ?

Stupid question alert.

I've got one of those Orange mobile wifi devices which creates your own mobile wifi hotspot with a 500mb per month sim plan.

Ok so now I'm gonna get an Ipad 1 3g so question is can I cut the sim down to micro size, stick it in the ipad and lose the novatel kit ? or do I have to get a new sim with an Ipad plan ?

Yes. You may need to update the Cellular Data Network settings.

I was told they wouldnt work as apple have removed the Cellular Data Network settings and you have to get a ipad data plan iv just got a 3 ipad data plan in mine.
