I'm looking for a printer less than 40 what would be cheap on ink and would last a while I haven't used one in years as I found them to be too expensive to run.

Thank you.

Could you be more specific?

Inkjet? Laser?
Colour or Mono only?
Paper size?
Any preferred brand?
What do you determine as 'last a while' as all printers need regular maintenance.

If you don't print much you're best off using an online photo labs and then buying an oldish network HP Laserjet from eBay which a toner already in it for emails/documents and text. I've looked at it quite extensively and it's definitely the most efficient way to print basically anything.

"Cheap Printer" + "Good on ink" are opposing statements. Manufacturers make their money back on cheap printers... by selling more ink to them.

Supposedly Kodak have the highest ink efficiency.

I was thinking of a kodak printer. colour I have no idea what the diference is with inkjet and laser. I want to start designing my own DVD cases for my old horror dvds

i have canon mp560 i think it excellent on print as for the ink £15 to £20 for full set of cartridges.
