Have a few specs. in mind but i'm really behind on things having been stuck with no money for upgrades in the past four years. I finally have enough put away to rebuild a whole system and so am looking for something to get me up to speed.
My current rig is mostly 5 years old and thus largely obsolete and unmodifiable but I have an X-fi Soundcard and Samsung 173P 17" monitor (25ms refresh/1280x1024) i'm happy to cannibalise for this current upgrade with the intent of upgrading them at a later date. Budget is going to be around £800 to £1000 and will be a largely gaming focused comp. with some graphics work and browsing. Only kicker is i'm unusually sensitive to flickering and I pick up anything below about 55fps leading to migraines so i'm after a rig that will not drop below that in games coming out for a year or so. Given the limited resolution that shouldn't be an issue but would be nice to upgrade the monitor in the future with no issues.

Will also be looking to grab a 5-button mouse as my intellimouse is dying on me, not after top end sensitivity, just a comfortable hold, 5 buttons in a similar style to what i've used before.
